AfriTech Organic Leather began as a university research idea led by Dr. Cecilia Rolence China, a materials scientist and innovator passionate about cleaner production. Her goal was to create eco-friendly tanning agents from agricultural residues like cashew husks and banana stems, replacing toxic chromium chemicals and protecting our ecosystems.
Our patented tannin extraction technology converts plant waste into high-performance organic tanning agents. These agents are used to produce premium eco-leather, which is then crafted into stylish bags, sandals, and accessories — 100% Tanzanian, 100% sustainable.
